Crops can be grown organically while preserving the environment and assisting farmers. This research examines the potential benefits of organic farming for rural development, particularly in Uttarakhand and the Indian Himalayan Region. It describes how organic farming can enhance soil health, safeguard plants and animals, cut down on the use of dangerous chemicals, and give farmers more options to make money. However, farmers deal with issues like reduced crop yields in the early years, high labor requirements, certification expenses, and challenges in marketing their goods. Organic farming may enhance rural livelihoods and save natural resources with the right government backing, farmer training and improved market facilities.
