Abstract

Breast cancer has emerged as a significant public health concern in India, with its incidence rising steadily over the past few decades. As the most common cancer among women in the country, it poses substantial challenges to the healthcare system and profoundly affects the lives of countless individuals and families (1)  According to the GLOBOCAN 2020 data, breast cancer accounted for 27.7% of all new cancer cases and 23.5% of all cancer 1 related deaths among women in India. The age-standardized incidence rate of breast cancer in India is estimated to be 25.8 per 100,000 women, lower than in many Western countries but steadily increasing (2).
