The investigation entitled “studies on magnitude of genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance for morphological and biochemical characters in mango germplasm”. was carried out during the period 2021-2022 and 2022-23 at Mango Research Station, Nuzvid, Eluru District, Andhra Pradesh. The study included 36 genotypes and 4 checks viz., Banaganapalle, Chinnarasam, Jalal and Suvarnarekha. In the study, High PCV and GCV values were recorded for trunk circumference (m), crown diameter E-W (m), crown diameterN-S (m), petiole length (cm), inflorescence width (cm), no. of hermaphrodite flowers in the inflorescence, fruit weight (g), pulp weight (g), peel weight (g), pulp to stone ratio, number of fruits/tree, fruit yield (kg/tree), stone length (cm), stone width (cm), stone weight (g), total soluble solids (⁰Brix), titrable acidity (%), TSS: acid ratio, total sugars (%), reducing sugars (%), non reducing sugars (%), ascorbic acid (mg/100 g), total phenols content (mg of gallic acid/100 g) and β- carotene (µg/100 g) and High heritability along with high genetic advance as per cent mean was observed for height of mature tree (m), trunk circumference (m), crown diameter E-W (m), crown diameter N-S (m), leaf blade length (cm), leaf blade width (cm), petiole length (cm), inflorescence length (cm), inflorescence width (cm), no. of hermaphrodite flowers in the inflorescence, fruit length (cm), fruit diameter (cm), fruit weight (g), pulp weight (g), peel weight (g), pulp to stone ratio, number of fruits/tree, fruit yield per tree (kg), stone length (cm), stone width (cm), stone weight (g), total soluble solids (⁰Brix), titrable acidity (%), TSS: acid ratio, total sugars (%), reducing sugars (%), non reducing sugars (%), ascorbic acid (mg/100 g), total phenols content (mg of gallic acid/100 g) and β- carotene (µg/100 g)
