This article aims to analyze the scientific evidence published over the last 10 years regarding the management of patients undergoing tuberculosis treatment, focusing on healthy practices, knowledge about the disease, treatment adherence, and associated factors. A systematic and exhaustive search was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 methodology across databases such as Scopus, SciELO, and Google Scholar. After applying established inclusion and exclusion criteria, 40 scientific articles were selected for analysis. The findings show that treatment adherence is influenced by multiple factors, including the level of knowledge about the disease, healthy practices, family support, guidance from healthcare personnel, and patients' socioeconomic and psychological conditions. It was further identified that poverty, depression, stigma, adverse drug effects, and difficulties in accessing healthcare services increase the risk of treatment discontinuation. In conclusion, the reviewed scientific evidence confirms that adherence to tuberculosis treatment depends on the interplay of individual, family, social, and institutional factors; therefore, it is essential to strengthen health education strategies, promote healthy practices, and develop comprehensive interventions that foster treatment continuity and contribute to disease control.
