PERFORMANCE OF LETTUCE CULTIVARS IN DEEP WATER CULTURE TECHNIQUE OF AQUAPONICS USING DIFFERENT MEDIA

Abstract

The experiment was carried out in winter season from August to October, 2021. Land craft aquaponics unit Hatkanagle to study the performance of lettuce cultivars in deep water culture technique of aquaponics using different media. Factorial completely randomized block design with two replication in protected condition .It used to record morphological and biochemical parameters of lettuce cultivars planted in different media combination at frequent intervals of time. The study concluded that, different media combination significantly affected to growth of lettuce cultivars. Choice of media in deep water culture technique of aquaponics is an important aspect for sustainable, suitable and effective production of lettuce. This will be good solution for various constraints observed in traditional farming.
