This study is a bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review of the development of digital agricultural communication from 2016 to 2025. ICT tools, mobile apps and social media are pervasive in agriculture and have caused a shift in communication from traditional extension methods to more interactive, farmer-centric approaches. However, the research in this field is dispersed among different disciplines and methods. We carefully selected and analyzed relevant studies through the PRISMA framework, and tracked research trends and patterns through tools, such as Bibliometrix and VOSviewer. This research employed bibliometric methods and systematic synthesis to investigate publication trends, research themes, methodological approaches, and emerging directions of digital agricultural communication. The findings reveal an increase in the number of studies focused on digital platforms for information sharing, engaging farmers and advisory support. The assessment also pointed out certain flaws, including shaky theoretical underpinnings, uneven worldwide representation, and inconsistent methodology. The results outline goals for future study and sustainable agricultural development while highlighting the expanding role of digital communication in agricultural extension.
