Abstract

Oral health is an essential component of general health and well-being. Good oral hygiene practices form the foundation of oral health, enabling individuals to maintain a clean and disease-free mouth. However, in many developing countries, including India, oral hygiene practices remain inadequate, contributing significantly to the high burden of oral diseases.1 Many people practice traditional methods of cleaning teeth, delay dental consultations until severe pain occurs, or hold misconceptions about dental treatment procedures such as scaling and polishing. 2,3
