Abstract

Purpose: This paper investigates the purpose of performance analytics as a competitive intelligence instrument in aerobic gymnastics, the impact of integrated core and plyometric training on multi-dimensional performance results.

Methodology/approach: A quantitative quasi-experimental design was used in which 36 competitive aerobic gymnasts (15-22 years) were randomly grouped as experimental and control groups and they followed an 8-week intervention period. Pre- post testing was used to test performance variables including core stability, jump height, balance, execution score and endurance. The statistical tests were paired and independent t-tests, percentage change, effect size (Cohen d), and correlation analysis.

Originality/Relevance: The research combines performance analytics and competitive intelligence where the traditional outcome-driven approach of assessment is replaced by the data-driven, strategic decision-making framework in sport.

Key findings: The results showed the significant improvement in all variables (p < 0.01), and the great effect sizes of jump height (d = 1.34) and execution (d = 1.26). Balance and execution (r = 0.81) and core stability and power (r = 0.71) were found to have strong correlations, which are indicative of interactions between systemic performance.

Theoretical/methodological contributions: The paper suggests a theoretical framework that converts performance data to competitive intelligence, which serves as the basis of training optimization based on evidence and future research related to the field of sports analytics.
