X. X. Cheng, He, S., Geng, G. H., Cheng, X. X., He, S., and Geng, G. H., Dynamic QTL analysis of seed reserve utilization in sh2 sweet corn germination stages, vol. 15, p. -, 2016.

In this study, dynamic quantitative trait loci (QTL) were mapped in a recombinant inbred line (F2:4) population derived from a BF3109 x Q267 cross. This was done during the unconditional (4, 7, and 10 days) and conditional (0 to 4, 4 to 7, and 7 to 10 days) germination stages in sh2 sweet corn. The values of seedling dry weight, weight of mobilized seed reserve (WMSR), seed reserve depletion percentage (SRDP), seed reserve utilization efficiency (SRUE), and their heritability differed across the investigated stages.

Genetic divergence among sweet corn lines estimated by microsatellite markers

A. D. Lopes, Scapim, C. A., Mangolin, C. A., and Machado, M. F. P. S., Genetic divergence among sweet corn lines estimated by microsatellite markers, vol. 13, pp. 10415-10426, 2014.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the genetic diversity of 15 sugary-1 sweet corn lines by microsatellite markers. One hundred pairs of simple sequence repeat primers that were mapped for field corn were tested. Of these primers, 15% were polymorphic, and all were selected for the evaluation. These primers identified a total of 39 alleles among the 15 loci that were evaluated.
