Evaluation of reference genes for RT-qPCR studies in the leaves of rice seedlings under salt stress

G. P. Moraes, Benitez, L. C., Amaral, M. Ndo, Vighi, I. L., Auler, P. A., da Maia, L. C., Bianchi, V. J., and Braga, E. J. B., Evaluation of reference genes for RT-qPCR studies in the leaves of rice seedlings under salt stress, vol. 14, pp. 2384-2398, 2015.

To obtain accurate and reliable results for the expression of genes of interest using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) techniques, it is necessary to normalize the data by comparing them to constitutive genes that exhibit uniform expression levels under experimental conditions.

Molecular characterization and tissue-specific expression of invariant chain isoform in Muscovy Duck (Cairina moschata)

S. J. Liu, Chen, F. F., Wu, C., Ni, Q. S., and Yu, W. Y., Molecular characterization and tissue-specific expression of invariant chain isoform in Muscovy Duck (Cairina moschata), vol. 13, pp. 8971-8981, 2014.

Invariant chain (Ii) isoform, through its thyroglobulin-like (Tg) domain, inhibits cysteine proteases during antigen presentation in vertebrates. In birds, the Ii of Muscovy Duck (MDIi) has 2 forms: MDIi-1 and MDIi-2 (MDIi isoform). To understand the genetic information and expression characteristics of MDIi-2, polymerase chain reaction, and bioinformatic analysis were performed for MDIi-2 from healthy adult Muscovy Duck. The full-length MDIi-2 cDNA sequence was found to be 1377-base pairs, encoding a 285-amino acid protein.

Characterization of microRNAs from goat (Capra hircus) by Solexa deep-sequencing technology

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are an important class of small noncoding RNAs that are highly conserved in plants and animals. Many miRNAs are known to mediate a myriad of cell processes, including proliferation and differentiation, via the regulation of some transcription and signaling factors, which are closely related to muscle development and disease. In this study, small RNA cDNA libraries of Boer goats were constructed.
