Effect of total peony glucoside pretreatment on NF-κB and ICAM-1 expression in myocardial tissue of rat with myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury
INTRODUCTION
Fast, effective recovery of the coronary blood flow, after myocardial ischemia, is an effective method to treat this ischemia. However, myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) can aggravate ischemia-induced cardiac dysfunction and myocardial cell damage, leading to intracellular calcium overload, apoptosis, and inflammation. Therefore, clarifying its mechanism is important for the prevention of myocardial I/R injury.
LECT2 association with macrophage-mediated killing of Helicobacter pylori by activating NF-κB and nitric oxide production
INTRODUCTION
Role of PPARα in down-regulating AGE-induced TGF-β and MMP-9 expressions in chondrocytes
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor is closely associated with the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis. The level of exogenous advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) in articular cartilage is highly associated with the severity of osteoarthritic lesions. However, their interactions and role in promoting osteoarthritisprogression remain unclear.
Diagnostic values of microRNA-31 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells for pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis in Chinese patients
We investigated the diagnostic values of microRNA-31 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) for pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis in Chinese patients. Sixty-five children with TB were selected for this study, which was conducted at the Department of Infectious Diseases People’s Hospital of Laiwu City between December 2013 and December 2014. Sixty healthy children, selected in parallel, served as the control group. Real-time PCR was used to detect miR-31 expression in PBMCs. Serum levels of IL-6, TNF-α, NF-κB, and IFN-γ was detected by ELISA.
