Polymorphisms of interleukin 6 in Down syndrome individuals: a case-control study.
Association of interleukin-6 gene polymorphisms and circulating levels with keloid scars in a Chinese Han population.
Polymorphisms in interleukin-6 and interleukin-10 may be associated with risk of preeclampsia.
Association between -174G/C and -572G/C interleukin 6 gene polymorphisms and severe radiographic damage to the hands of Mexican patients with rheumatoid arthritis: a preliminary report.
Meta-analysis of IL-6 -174G/C polymorphism and psoriasis risk
Previous studies examining the association between interleukin-6 (IL-6) -174G/C polymorphism and psoriasis risk have produced inconsistent results. The aim of this study was to offer a comprehensive review of the association between IL-6 -174G/C polymorphism and psoriasis risk through a meta-analysis. Literature search of PubMed and Embase databases was conducted to identify all eligible studies published before October 29, 2015. Four case-control studies involving 651 psoriasis cases and 552 controls were included in this meta-analysis.
Correlation analysis between an IL-6 genetic polymorphism and non-small cell lung cancer prognosis
Role of interleukin-6 polymorphisms in the development of allergic rhinitis
The aim of this study was to investigate the role played by the IL-6 rs1800795 (-174G/C) and rs1800796 (-572G>C) polymorphisms in the susceptibility to allergic rhinitis in a Chinese population. A total of 265 patients with allergic rhinitis and 265 controls from our hospital were enrolled in this study. The IL-6 rs1800795 and rs1800796 polymorphisms were genotyped by polymerase chain reaction coupled with restriction fragment length polymorphism.
Correlation between interleukin-6 expression in articular cartilage bone and osteoarthritis
This study aimed to investigate the expressional profile of interleukin-6 (IL-6) in articular cartilage bone of osteoarthritis (OA) patients and its correlation with OA. A total of 30 articular cartilage bone samples from knee OA patients, which were collected by knee arthroscopy or articular surgery, comprised the study group, and 30 samples of normal articular cartilage tissue comprised the control group.
Association of the interleukin-6 gene -572G/C polymorphism with cancer risk: a meta-analysis
The -572G/C polymorphism in interleukin-6 (IL-6) gene is associated with the development of cancer. However, previous studies have shown conflicting results; therefore, the association must be verified by an appropriate meta-analysis. For this purpose, we performed a literature search of the PubMed database to identify all reports on association between the IL-6 -572G/C polymorphism and cancer risk. Summary odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (95%CI) were calculated for the -572G/C polymorphism and cancer in a fixed- and random-effect model, as appropriate.
